Can i use a microsdhc card for my phone, if my phone accepts microsd cards?

I have a ton of pics on my phone that I would like to transfer to my computer. My phone has a micro card slot and on the slot, it says microsd, so that's the kind it accepts. But, can it also accept a microsdhc card? If it helps, my phone is a Net10 Samsung t401g. Also, I have a regular sd card reader and was wondering if it also reads microsd cards? My reader has a card slot and has a usb thing, where i plug it into the computer. THANKS!
