I don't know which router I need to buy?

I have a Motorola SURFboard SB5101 modem + Time Warner Internet.. it works with cable & I use it with my desktop PC. I recently got a laptop and I need wirless internet... I browsed Walmart, Target, and BestBuy and I saw a bunch of routers, the problem is... I don't see any slot for internet cable. Do you guys know any router that works with internet cable?Thankss
