What's the best way to get attention from guys?

all the guys i know are more of guy friends that dont really care about being in a relationship. i'm just really lonely and want to meet more guys in hopes of sparking a relationship. how can i get myself out there and meet boys my age? any particular places i should go? also - i'm not ugly or fat, but i am a little bigger and not stunningly gorgeous. i am pretty confident though.
