Would you assume something bad happened in her past?

I've been dating a girl who is 25 and is still a virgin, she is not religious or waiting for marriage. She has low confidence and food issues(bulimia). She seems down and doesn't say much. The thing is she is stunningly beautiful, looks like a model. What would make a girl like this? She wont open up. She just looks away when i ask.
